Tableau d’Hôte Theatre produces Montréal premieres of English and bilingual Canadian plays by both emerging and established playwrights. Our work is often confrontational, seeking to challenge dominant historical narratives and unearth the buried stories of the nations upon nations upon nations that make up the colonial settler state known as Canada. It is through this confrontation that we hope to build bridges, heal wounds, and ultimately labour towards a kinder, fairer world. Since the 2017 creation of our More than a Footnote program, Tableau D’Hôte Theatre has a renewed commitment to new-play development in Montréal.
